چکیده
Abstract. The Ms 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 and 7.0 Lushan 2013 produced thousands of landslides the southern region Longmen Mountains China. We conducted field investigations analyzed remote sensing data to determine distribution law earthquake-triggered landslides. results show a strong negative power relationship between size frequency VII, VIII, IX seismic intensity zones, weak X zone, lognormal XI zone. Landslide density increases with increasing intensity. A sandpile cellular automata model was built under conceptual framework self-organized criticality theory simulate earthquake-induced Data from simulations demonstrate that, disturbance intensity, dynamical mechanism changes then distribution. Results shaking table experiments one-sided slope for peak ground acceleration (PGA) range 0.075–0.125 g, relation amount sand follows law. For PGA 0.15 0.25 obeys This verifies that abovementioned should be universal physical viewpoint may apply other areas. new perspective used guide development an inventory provide scientific basis their prediction.

Optimized volume models of earthquake-triggered landslides
In this study, we proposed three optimized models for calculating the total volume of landslides triggered by the 2008 Wenchuan, China Mw 7.9 earthquake. First, we calculated the volume of each deposit of 1,415 landslides triggered by the quake based on pre- and post-quake DEMs in 20 m resolution. The samples were used to fit the conventional landslide "volume-area" power law relationship and t...
متن کاملScaling of seismic memory with earthquake size.
It has been observed that discrete earthquake events possess memory, i.e., that events occurring in a particular location are dependent on the history of that location. We conduct an analysis to see whether continuous real-time data also display a similar memory and, if so, whether such autocorrelations depend on the size of earthquakes within close spatiotemporal proximity. We analyze the seis...

This paper study the recent seismicity in Earthquake hazard zones in India. A large historical earthquake event catalog to cover the period of 1900-2018, the parameters date, time, latitude, longitude, depth and magnitude has been used to calculating frequency-magnitude distribution (b-value) of seismic hazard zones in India. To convert different magnitude scales into a single moment magnitude ...

متن کاملLandslides triggered by the Gorkha earthquake in the Langtang valley, volumes and initiation processes
The Gorkha earthquake (Nepal, 2015, Mw 7.9) triggered many landslides. The most catastrophic mass movement was a debris avalanche that buried several villages in the Langtang valley. In this study, questions are raised about its volume and initiation. I investigate the possibility of high-resolution digital surface models computed from tri-stereo SPOT6/7 images to resolve this issue. This high-...
